To enhance the effects of the brand new Super Facialist Hyaluronic Acid Firming line, Pilates Expert and Nutritionist Ruth Tongue suggests facial exercises alongside skincare to achieve optimum results.
Exercise 1: The Smiler
Good For: Cheek and jaw
Cover the teeth with the lips to make an ‘O’ shape with the mouth.
Smile widely while keeping the teeth hidden and repeat six times.
Hold the smile shape while placing one index finger on the chin. Then start to move the jaw up and down as the head tilts gently back. Relax and repeat twice more.
Exercise 2: Puff Cheeks
Good For: Smile lines and cheeks
Take a deep breath and puff out one cheek. Hold for several seconds and switch sides. Repeat 10 times on each side. Rest and then repeat.
Exercise 3: Gorilla Lips
Good For: Firming upper cheeks
Stick out your lower lip as far as it will go. Keep it there as you squeeze and relax your upper cheeks without screwing up the eyes. Repeat quickly 20 times, rest and repeat.
Exercise 4: Eyebrow raises
Good For: Reducing forehead lines
Place the tips of your fingers gently along the top of each eyebrow. Try to raise your eyebrows while at the same time pressing your fingers gently to keep your eyebrows in place. Hold for a count of 5. Relax your face and then repeat 10 times.
Exercise 5: Strong blinks
Good for: Toning the muscles around the eyes and reducing crows feet and saggy eyes
Place the heels of the hands on temples and gently pull, then blink really hard 10 times. Rest and repeat 3 times.
